I'd like to hear some opinions and insight in regards to the meaning of the album title and/or songs from this album. What are the five ghosts of this album? Curious to see how others have interpreted The Five Ghosts!

I'm pretty sure Torquil has said in interviews that the title is in reference to the loss of family members/friends/lovers during the time preceding the album.

Five Ghosts = Band members. Well, that's how I see it. I know there's the deeper meaning, but I like it that way.
But on occasion, I wonder how things would have gone if Seligman stayed anywhere else and wasn't disturbed by spirits. "The Black House, The Blue Sky" the album. Hm...This post was edited 546 days ago.

There was an interview with Amy and she had said that they wanted to leave it up to the fans to determine what the five ghosts are. But interesting thought that the ghosts are the band members. Seems that they all can contribute to the ghost aspect, Chris' dream, Torquil's father passing away etc.
