As a former San Antonian and fellow Texan, I feel your pain. I don't think Stars has ever played in San Antonio, although they make a trip down to Austin every now and then. It's totally worth the drive to see them. They're going to be at Austin City Limits this year, who knows when the next time they'll be down here will be. You can find ticketing information on ACL's website. They're expensive, but it's a fun festival and there's plenty of other great acts lined up for this year. I've bought day passes before, but doing the whole 3 days for the first time this year! 3 day passes are the way to go if you can get your hands on one.
