Hillside 2010

Yesterday was my third time seeing you guys. Each time you force me to fall in love with you all over again. This was my first time to Hillside, and the entire experience was unbelievable. I could not have imagined a more perfect way to end the beautiful weekend. You were the absolute perfect finale to the weekend.

With every album you put out I am more and more in love with your music. Since I got The Five Ghosts, I honestly have not stopped listening to it. It is fantastic. All of your songs speak to a different aspect of my life that makes me feel like you know me! I feel it is really safe to say that Stars is to me, what the Beatles are to my mom. At the end of your set last night, Torq thanked us all of the support and love of the music when really, we should be thanking you. For continuing to create the most amazing music that really does make my heart feel completely happy whenever I listen to it.

This was my 8th time seeing Stars and they just get better every time. I can't even put into words how I feel about this band, haha. Stars' music have gotten me through some really tough parts of my life for the last 7 years or so.
Anyways, this was an amazing show at an amazing festival! In an amazing city too. I was front row and got some really good pictures but don't have time to post them all one by one, as there are like 100 or so, haha...got a little camera happy.
I also saw them at HMV in Toronto the day before and everyone in the band were genuinely so sweet. I was one of the last people in line and was watching them take the time to not only sign autographs, but talk to every single person there. Can't say enough good things about Stars, so I'll end it there, haha. Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing what you do! I'm sure I'll see you soon again. xo

SUMMER

Dear Stars,

I understand you all have terribly busy lives with all the awesome things you are each doing when you aren't together as Stars. I appreciate how busy life is and will become over the coming months, esp Amy and Evan and the little bundle the storke is about to drop off.

But I do have one small request, PLEASE consider coming back to Hillside Festival in Guelph this summer! I know you guys were enjoying yourselves up there, and during the day with the hula-hooping! It was my first time to Hillside but my third time seeing you guys, and I feel like it is the perfect environment to enjoy your music. I think you and the festival compliment each other very nicely.(that and I saw you three times last year and couldn't bear the thought of not seeing you again this year)

I'm just hoping you will think about it, as (speaking for hillside) we'd love to have you!! Your music is the best way to end a music festival. After your show we got in our canoe and paddled away across the lake under a beautiful full moon. Amazing memory, thank you.
