Yeah, I'm still listening to it a lot, it's absolutely wonderful. There's no filler material in here at all, it's just perfect! I wish it would sell more...

hello-
this seems as good a place as any to explain a little about dead child star. the record was made over the last couple of years, on garage band. whenever friends would come and visit us in niagara, i would force them to jam with me, and some of those jams turned into songs on this record. but then there are the things i did completely alone. and that was a huge thing for me, because i had never made music before without one of my friends doing all the work! so it was a big deal to discover that i could at least create something on my own and feel ok about it. but then i knew that to turn it into a real record i needed someone with far greater musical and technical skill than me. and thats where julian comes in. he is truly one of the most gifted musicians i have ever met. if youve ever listened to feists the reminder, his elegant bass playing is all over the feeling and texture of that record. and of course he i the backbone of all those incredible apostle of hustle records he made with andrew whiteman, who wrote one of the songs on this record with me. Without julian, i couldnt have finished this little project of mine. it just goes to show you, its good to try stuff alone...but in the end you need your friends to become what you really truly can be! sorry if thats hokey. ive been listening to a lot of sesame street records lately. they really make you feel positive! anyway, this record is out there now without the help of a record company, without having been sent to journalists, and without any effort to reach beyond the people who find it. you can do a lot if you have the help of the people who love you. and if we sell like three hundred of these things, ill have made back the money i spent on flying jules to vancouver and buying crown royal for us every day! and it's because lovely kind people with great taste go and spend a little of their hard won money on supporting this project.no middle man. no hair cut blogs. no pseudo independent rock mags with a gold star or a black mark. just some music for people who care to listen. only connect. thats all that matters. and thats all this is....and i thank anyone who's taken an interest for being a friend and helping me get this done. may i take this opportunity to recommend the carpenters christmas album? its entrancingly narcotic!

This album has absolutely no filler material. It's perfect! I swear to God! It gets where it needs to go, without any extra steps.

The only song that I sort of marginally don't care for would be This Is Easy. Maybe it's because it's right after London Fields, and I play that one over and over instead of moving on? I dunno.
